The Kaplan cello A string is scaled to fit a 4/4 size instrument with a playing length of 27 1/2 inches (700mm). Heavy tension strings will allow for greater projection and volume potential. This A string has a solid steel core and is titanium wound. Kaplan cello strings produce a rich and complex tone. Conceived for the most discerning musicians, they stand up well to extreme bow pressure, allow a diverse tonal palette, and provide a powerful but warm sound.
